Otro tributo para el blog de ikari [link] , esta vez nada mas y nada menos que FATAL FURY series , un clasicazo de las 2D de cuando yo era un zagal... que recuerdos XD.
Como tampoco tenia mucho tiempo saque horas de madrugadas de insomnio y a medio camino entre speed paint y un "quiero pintar unas llamas" improvise una May Shiranui [link] , pensando sobretodo en su clásico stage de fatal fury special con la cabeza de Ashura de fondo.

Another tribute of ikari's blog [link] , this time FATAL FURY series , a 2D classic fighting game... pure old school XD.
With the excuse that "I want to paint flames" I improvise a May Shiranui [link] , especially in his fatal fury special stage with the head of Ashura in the background.

Mai Shiranui, my first video game love affair. You did her absolute justice in this. I like the Ashura statue in the background. It provides a nice contrast to the flames. I can totally hear her original theme playing in my head now.

She doesn't look very furious to me. Quite calm, really.
Certainly looks hot though. And hey, You can't get a much better excuse to make a piece than "I want to paint flames", especially when the result is this beautifully painted. Seriously, those are some awesome flames! They really feel like they're flowing freely.
Mai herself looks gorgeous here too. The shading of her skin is really well done, and very sexy with the shine on her legs.
I also really like how the cool blues of the statues in the background contrast with the hot reds of Mai and the fire. Not a whole load to say there other than it really builds the piece well.
All in all, I really like this. I've never even played the games and I love this picture, it's so well done. Good job! :thumbsup:

One last thing, out of curiosity: was this done digitally or with real paint?
